John Hunter is a second generation fisher and troller in the Queen Charlotte Islands (Haida Gwaii). He created Queen Charlotte Seafoods in 2004 to offer buyers an ocean fresh and unique product. John guarantees all of his seafood is sustainable and traceable to the actual fishing boat that caught them. He supplies places that have similar concerns about where their seafood comes from and are similarly concerned about the sustainability of what comes out of the sea and what they sell. His mission is to harvest less salmon yet bring a higher quality end product to the consumers.
